If you’re a first-timer in network marketing and are doing internet marketing as a way to get prospects for your business, there is something you need to know to get started in the traffic-building process.

Do you recall that in your 11th grade high school English class the teacher had you do some research on the topic you want to write about before you write?  In online marketing, it is the same thing.  In internet marketing, you have to do some research on the hottest keywords that your visitors actually type into the search engines so that you can write a blog or an article or shoot a video based on those keywords.

Good afternoon, marketers!  It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon!  I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical in buying into Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring ebook this week.

Now that I’m almost through reading his book, it donned on me that the attraction marketing principles he’s teaching in his book are NO different than the internet (attraction) marketing techniques I’ve been doing for 5 years.

If you’ve viewed Mike’s 7-day video series, there is something that hit home, and I could relate to it.  In Day 7 of his videos series, he mentioned the following: “Continue your education.  Buy every single course you come across on the subject of marketing and personal development.”

Walmart has a new floor plan!

As I was shopping at Walmart Supercenter in Lewisville, TX the other day, I couldn’t help but notice that they are re-doing their floor plan.  Based on their market research, they feel that re-doing their floor plan will help get more customers and therefore generate more sales.

So you’re asking, “What does this have to do with network marketing?”

It has to do with a lot of things.  As a network marketer, you should always be willing to make changes in your marketing strategy in case you are not getting the results that you want.  Just like with Walmart, based on their research, they felt that “moving around” the shelves to a newer place will help get more sales.

Blog Marketing Tips – What is a Blog Challenge and Why Do One?

Here’s a blog marketing tip you may not have heard about before: join a blog challenge. What’s a blog challenge and where do I find one? Look online.

A blog challenge goal can be to write at least 150 words and post it on your blog every day for 30 days. Doing this will develop a habit that’s great for increased business. If the mere thought of this much writing scares you, these four top benefits can turn your fear into excitement.

But Can’t I Just Write 30 Posts in 30 Days Myself as my New Habit?

David Wood put on a webinar recently on how you can use articles to flood your website with traffic During his first two months marketing online, he generated 650 leads, got 600+ visitors to his blog and signed up 5 new reps into his business. He did this all through free ways of advertising using articles and videos. He did not have to spend any money to generate traffic, leads and signups.

Dominate Your Brand Search Engine Result Page

This week we pull a secret out of the SEO secrets vault. This handy strategy helps you take advantage of the specific types of results that Google chooses for people and company based searches and helps you dominate your brand search engine result page.

Building a brand hub is an obvious suggestion but not necessarily for the reason you might think. Use these types of websites to promote what other domains are saying about you or your brand elsewhere on the Internet. This gives those pages (social media profiles, interviews, etc…) link juice and improves their relevancy, thus helping them rank for your brand SERP. (Hint: Use anchor text like “SEOmoz on Twitter” or “John Doe in the New York Times”). You can see an example of me doing this tactic on DannyDover.com.

Twitter: The Debate on Quality vs. Quantity

Yesterday, I posted a piece called The Problem with Follow Friday, and the comments really got me thinking more about the numbers game on Twitter. There’s one camp that believe it is best to get as many followers as possible (quantity). There’s another camp more interested in a smaller number of followers that they personally connect to on a daily basis (quality). I think both sides of the debate have valid arguments, but my feet are firmly planted on the “quality” side.

Let’s think of Twitter as a mailing list of sorts, which it kind of is (or at least, can be if used that way).

Marco Abanico’s Review of My Lead System Pro

Have you been to those pie-in-the-sky network marketing meetings? Did they tell you that you have to make a list of all your friends and family members? Did you ever try to drag them to an 8 o’clock Saturday morning meeting when you preferred to be sleeping in? Did you run out of friends to whom you can sell your opportunity? Are you now a part of the NFL (no friends left) club?

Spying on Your Network Marketing Competition

If you have ever thumbed through Home Business magazine, Small Business Opportunities magazine, or a local newspaper in your area, how many times have you gone to the classified ads section and looked up your competitors in the network marketing industry? There is a lot, right? How can a beginning online network marketer develop a unique selling position (USP) so that he can stand up above his competition?

The following is some pointers on developing a good USP:
