Music lovers are remembering today Clarence Clemons, the powerhouse who helped launch Bruce Springsteen and also the E Street Band towards the rock ‘n roll Hall of Fame.
The saxophonist passed away Saturday due to complications from a stroke he endured on June 12. He was age 69.
Well-known to his followers as “The Big Man” for his magnificent 6 foot 5 figure and the great tenor sax riffs, Clemons had been the rhythm and soul of the E Street Band and also a fixture in Springsteen’s renowned live concert events and also the signature sound of a lot of their music.
