Distressed actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers had been rushed to hospital by ambulance following an alleged suicide attempt. Meyers, who portrayed Henry VIII in a BBC series The Tudors – is thought to have taken pills at his £3million residence in Maida Vale, central london on Tuesday evening. The handsome actor – who has been combating a long-standing drink problem – was discovered slumped on to the floor by paramedics. They were forced to call police right after he initially declined remedy at the scene. He ended up being taken to hospital. A source stated:
