Most people who get into network marketing often times run out of leads to whom they can market their MLM business. Does that mean they become a part of the NFL (No Friends Left) club? Not at all. The ones who stick with the program and remain persistent find other ways to generate leads for their online business.
One of the techniques they discuss lightly in My Lead System Pro (MLSP) is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is the process of creating a website that is catered specifically to rank high in the search results of many search engines for particular keywords. The purpose of SEO is to generate FREE targeted traffic for your online MLM business.
The first benefit to the MLMer is that once you have SEO up and running for your webpage, you will get natural, targeted traffic, AKA free leads, for a very long time with minimal ongoing effort. In essence, you do the work once, and the traffic keeps coming, and coming, and coming! You can’t beat that!
The other benefit to the savvy, online MLMer is that all of your other online marketing techniques taught in MLSP will complement the efforts you put forth in your SEO project.
The final benefit of SEO for the online network marketer is the credibility you will receive among your prospects. Having absolute control over your site allows you to post information, videos, blogs, downloadable files, and so on to provide a continuous river of related materials you can e-mail to your list of prospects. You are then branded as an authority figure, and prospects will view you as a leader.
The following is some growing pains you will face should you decide to pursue SEO as part of your online network marketing efforts:
- SEO requires commitment. You will be required to put forth effort and time into this project.
- SEO requires time. Before you can see your website rank high in the search results, expect to wait three to six months before you start seeing your URL rank within the top 100 of any search engine.
- SEO is not a duplicatable technique. Many of the techniques and principles taught in MLSP are duplicatable, and you create the leverage of many other people in your downline who are creating that leverage with you. Very few people will pursue this route. That is fine too.
Search engine optimization is a totally different course beyond what is taught in MLSP. However, the MLSP still remains to be an invaluable program that provides all network marketers the foundation for online marketing. If you want to learn more about SEO, that is where the “personal development” principle kicks in. MLSP professes that in order to undergo personal development, you must read 10 pages a day in a book related to what you are doing as an online marketer in order to develop or improve yourself over time. If you do not like to read, then take a seminar once every quarter to help improve yourself.
As the old saying goes, “The best network marketers never stop learning.
