What Sets You Apart From the Rest?

A network marketing company has sparked your interest, and you finally signed on the dotted line to become a distributor. Now you are in business for yourself. Now you have to get the word about your new business. Seeing that there are lots of competitors out there who are also looking to recruit more distributors, how can you set yourself apart from the rest of them? How can you create a unique selling position (USP) so that prospects will distinguish you from everybody else?

What is a unique selling position?

A unique selling position refers to a unique or distinguishing feature that leaves a lasting impression on every prospect whom you come into contact with while putting you and your product in a category all by itself.

As you get to know more about your business and the network marketing recruiting process, your prospects will want to know more about what you are selling. It is unfortunate that simply saying that you have a great product, service, company, or price is no longer enough to convince a prospect to sign up with your business. Even though they are important, this information alone is not unique, and many times people turn a deaf ear toward you as every other online network marketer is saying the exact same thing.

What if there was something else that you can proffer that your competition can not? What value can you offer that would set you apart from your competitors?

Perhaps you could offer a free bottle of nutritional supplements if the prospect will hear your sales pitch. You could offer an ebook on how to generate traffic to your prospect’s network marketing website using pay-per-click advertising. You could offer to conduct keyword research for your prospect’s pay-per-click advertising campaign for his MLM website. You could offer to host the next network marketing meeting with somebody that your prospect has mind. The list is endless.

If you can not think of any good ideas, do not worry. Developing a unique selling position will require some time and a little brainstorming.
