Kansas home sales increased by 22.7% in July 2011 in comparison with July 2010, based on new statistics released by the Kansas Association of REALTORS®. Sales totaled 2,735 units in July, up from 2,229 units in 2010. In contrast, sales on a national level rose 21.0% for the month. Throughout the state there have been 19,841 active listings at the end of the particular month. Supply of new and also existing homes available on the market — which is determined by taking the number of active listings and dividing it by the number of sales — represents 7.3 months.
