Several years ago, one of the biggest MLM secrets of all time was the concept of attraction marketing. Thanks to Mike Dillard and his book Magnetic Sponsoring, he has brought it to the forefront of the network marketing industry. Although most people in MLM are embracing its concepts, it is still amazing to me to see how many people are still getting it wrong. Now, I won’t get into explaining the concept of attraction marketing in detail, but I will tell you how to use it the right way so you can truly stand out from everybody else.
Simply put, here is what people are doing wrong. In trying to stand out from everybody else, especially on the social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, too many people are spamming. Not only are they spamming, but they are still peddling their product or service. It may not necessarily be a business opportunity, but more likely it’s a MLM system or e-book. It is obvious that they misunderstood one of the biggest MLM secrets of all time.
If you are using social networking sites, which most people are, do not project yourself to be a know-it-all. Don’t always use motivational quotes. Change it up a little. People want to see you are real individual. Let people know what you are doing with your family, what your home office looks like, what movie you are watching, and something that you have a question about, etc. If I need help deciding something, I always ask my friends on Facebook. I get back positive feeback too. The key is that you want to engage your followers into what you are doing.
If you are using video, you can say the same thing but in a different way. That is another MLM secret. We tend to package things up differently, but it’s the same content. Some people learn in different ways. And quite honestly, you do not have to come up with your very own content. Personally, I curate content from books, movies, songs, the Bible, websites, and any place I can think of. Understand you don’t have to re-invent the wheel. Simply infuse your own personality into it.
Finally, one of the best ways to stand out from the crowd is to have your very own blog. I don’t recreate content. If I write an article or do a video, I immediately send out a message to my Facebook friends and email list and invite them to visit my blog to see the new content that I have posted. It works like a charm each and every time because as long as you are providing good quality content, then you won’t appear to be a spammer.
Once people are at your blog, the natural tendency is for them to look around which is what you want them to do. Allow them get to know you a bit more. Make sure you have pictures, videos, and everything else that shows you are a real individual. This way you can make a connection with your visitors. Once they connect with you on a personal level, you can’t put a price tag on that.
Even though, I didn’t have enough time to go into it detail, hopefully, you understand the right way to do attraction marketing. Even if you have all this together, you still need to have the right network marketing company to capitalize on all the prospects that come to you.
