Distressed actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers had been rushed to hospital by ambulance following an alleged suicide attempt. Meyers, who portrayed Henry VIII in a BBC series The Tudors – is thought to have taken pills at his £3million residence in Maida Vale, central london on Tuesday evening. The handsome actor – who has been combating a long-standing drink problem – was discovered slumped on to the floor by paramedics.
