The Philadelphia Eagles did not waste any time looking for a backup quarterback. The Eagles have arrived at a deal with former Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young, a day right after the Titans released him, according to philly.com.
Soon after they traded away Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals, the Eagles had been in need of a quarterback to back up Michael Vick-who is known to live dangerously outside the pocket.
The deal with Young provides the defending NFC East champions an additional athletic quarterback to be innovative with.
Regardless of a great record (30-17) as the starting quarterback for the Titans throughout his time in Tennessee, Young was battling some ups and downs with the organization. It grew to become obvious that the end was near after a game last season when Young threw his shoulder pads into the crowd after he was booed by fans. That incident resulted in an argument with his head coach Jeff Fisher.
