A Tom Thumb employee was arrested this weekend for a good cause to serve time in the grocery store’s donation jail.
Shirley, an employee at Tom Thumb Store #2686 at 1701 W Randol Mill Rd in Arlington, Texas, was picked up by grocery store police and taken to the donation jail. As part of her release, she was given one of two choices: spend the week in jail OR help raise money for the fight against breast cancer.
She chose the latter where she was on her way to raise $400 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization for breast cancer research.
Thank you, Shirley, for turning over a new leaf.
