You been to at least one of those success meetings where a dynamic speaker who is a heavy hitter in multi-level marketing (MLM) talks about success and motivates you to join the company. Just about every MLM company has a few of them with really good success stories.
Here is the problem. Let us say you have a bunch of people in a hotel banquet room wanting a shot at the American dream of spending more time with family and achieving independent wealth. Those people have a heightened emotional state. The successful speaker talks about his success with a company and that his money comes in omnidirectionally. People get excited when they hear this and will try to do something that helps them make a lot of money doing it. So they sign up into the business opportunity.
Now that the newbie network marketing distributor is fully signed up into the company, his excitement only lasts 24 hours because he now realizes that the business is going to take more work than what the heavy-hitter is saying. Then they begin to read up on the “successful” marketing plan.
Steps:
- Make a list of all your friends and family members.
- Set up appointments with them and get your sponsor on a conference call with them.
- Invite them to attend a live meeting.
- If at first you don’t succeed, just keep at it. Somewhere down the line, somebody will say “YES” to your opportunity.
- Buy business opportunity leads.
- Cold call your prospects and set up a 2 to 4-hour time frame every day to be successful.
- Continue to do repeated follow-ups.
After wasting time calling worthless prospects, and buying into senseless opportunity leads, you will find that your bank account is less than zero. You are sick and tired of all the rejection over and over by people who said they wanted a business opportunity. You give up quality time with your family to pursue getting your business up and running. Your friends and family avoid you like the plague. You see no results in all of your efforts. Then you finally realize that all that hype you heard from the business opportunity speaker is hogwash. Your next step is to quit.
If you feel that multi-level marketing is a business that can work for you, you are absolutely right! It can…if you have the proper tools and understand how the universal laws of marketing work. There IS a roadmap to success without having to perform any of these aforementioned steps. In fact, the way I will show you is totally the opposite. Dinosaur ways suggest that you accost people with your opportunity and try to convince them on why should buy into it. Modern day techniques using the internet attract people who are interested in what you have to offer.
So if you want to pay for your child’s college education, take frequent trips to Europe, buy that new car, or achieve total financial independence whether or not they join your MLM business, there IS a way to work with only those people who are interested in working with you so that you never have to call another business opportunity lead ever again.
